2016 KIA K900

2016 KIA K900

In the large luxury car segment the Kia K900 ranks sixth and stacking up incredibly well against rival cars mostly due to its limo-like rear seating. Notable is that its handling is rather mediocre while it is much lower priced than rivals and the standard models come with V6 engines.  The V6 engine ensure that power is no problem as well as a V8 with both engine option fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

It has a reasonably below average fuel consumption when looking at the 17/26 mpg for city/highway driving. Its interior is great with high-end materials throughout and very much on par with all its German rivals. It has roomy front seats with exceptionally luxurious and spacious rear seats. The trunk space is below its class average though.

Standard features in a base model K900 includes 9.2-inch touch screen, Android Auto, satellite radio, 14-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, two USB Ports, voice recognition navigation from the UVO infotainment system, rear and front parking sensors, rear and front view cameras, tri-zone climate control, push-button start and panoramic sunroof.

Other features are available too such as

  • autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control,
  • lane departure warnings, rear cross traffic alerts,
  • blind spot monitoring, surround view camera  and even though it has impressive features Kia recently reduced the pricing on the 2016 models while also increasing the standard car content tremendously.

When you take into consideration that a similar car in this segment cost more than $20, 000 to $30, 000 more, it should be a definite winner. The K900 has massive appeal as full-sized flagship that offers all the power, refinement, space and comfort even though it might lack the engineering sophistication of some of the more expensive cars in this class.

Driver who want to own a luxury car at very affordable price and not one of the badge snob tribe can embrace this luxury car of real substance, luxury and value.
